TIME:  12:00 Noon - ??????  Potluck at 12:30.

 

 

July - No event

 

August 17th -Twins Game vs Seattle Mariners - Sunday Afternoon

      Chair - Myrna Jude

 

40 tickets have been placed on hold for this event.  The game ticket price of $19.00 is based on the group rate and applied to 25 or more persons.  Transportation will be on your own, since there was not enough interest in a bus last year. You will also have the option of signing-up for discount concession tickets. Sign-up and full payment will be required by July 27^th.

 Watch the bulletin board and upcoming newsletters for more details on each event.  Many of these events will require advance sign-up and payment. 

 

YOUNG AT HEARTS - JUNE EVENT

 

One of our new events this year will be a Beach Party -Potluck.

Even if you don't care to swim, please come and join us for lunch, yard games and fun in the sun (and shade).  Great beach for young swimmers.  Ride the pontoon or take a ride in the tube behind the jet-ski.  Come early, stay late!!

TIME:  12:00 Noon - ??????  Potluck at 12:30.

 

Bring a potluck item to share, your own beverages, chairs for sitting on the patio, swimsuits/towels.   I will furnish the plates and silverware.

                                                

YOUNG AT HEARTS

 

            There is no July Young at Hearts event, however, sign-up for the August Twins game is required by July 27^th.  See article in this newsletter for the Twins game details.  40 tickets have been reserved - we can get more if more people sign-up. Friends outside of the congregation are more than welcome to join us - just sign them up.

            The sign-up sheet is already posted on the Young At Hearts bulletin board - please indicate your name, the number of tickets and also the # of concession tickets you are ordering.

Let's make this the best turnout ever.

TWINS BASEBALL GAME -

THIS EVENT REQUIRES

ADVANCE SIGN-UP AND Pre-PAYMENT

(25 people are required to obtain the Group Discount Ticket Price)

 

TWINS TICKET PRICE:  $19.00

 

  Discount Concession Ticket are also available and must be paid for in advance with the tickets. 

 

Concession Coupons cost - $3.50 - redeemable for hot dog and soft drink

Dome Dollars cost - $8.00 consists of $10.00 in vouchers, good for any food or drink

 

You are responsible for arranging your own transportation - let's try and carpool if possible.

 

Advance payment is due on or before the end of church Sunday, July 27th.  Payment needs to be made out to Myrna Jude for ticket price and any concession tickets being requested.

 

 Tickets cannot be ordered after this date, you must sign-up and be paid for by the July 27th date if you want to go.

 

Can't make it to the Youth at Heart's Twins Game or just can't get enough of those Twins?  Join other UCCer's August 2nd for United Church of Christ night at the Metrodome when the Twins take on the Cleveland Indians starting at 6 PM.  Tickets are $17 (with $5 from each ticket going to OCWM).  Seats are located at the Upper Club Level behind home plate.  Please contact Pastor Palmer if you're interested or would like more information.

 

Women's Guild

Women's Guild is an organization that all women in the church are welcome to attend.  Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month (except January and July) at the church.
 
During the year we are in charge of funeral lunches, put on a birthday party for residents in a care center one month of the year, sell greeting cards all year, send sunshine cards to people in need, try to keep things running in the kitchen along with buying major appliances, sponsor a child through Christian Children's Fund, give poinsettias to the shut-ins at Christmas time, and our biggest event of the year is our Annual Bazaar, which includes a lunch, craft items, bake sale, plants and white elephants.  All are welcome.

 

 

 BETHLEHEM U.C.C. CHOIR

The Choir is a group of individuals that like to sing.They sing during worship about 9 months out of the year. They sing for special functions. They host a Turkey Dinner held the last Sunday in October to fund their music purchases.
